This is a page to collate any difficulties anyone is having actually getting to Sydney for this workshop, and any suggestions to overcome them. You can post your own, or contact Gillian Wood for help uploading your story.

To start off: one librarian on the north coast has had her airfare refused - they are only allowed a certain number per Directorate per year - and they're all gone. It's a way for the Area to curb costs; but the practical outcome is that librarians aren't able to have access to the same training as their colleagues. This is inequity of the worst type - is there anything we can do about it?

Try the Bendy Bus

If you're coming from the city you can try the new Route 333 (prepay only) articulated bus from Circular Quay to Bondi Beach which goes up Oxford St stopping nearby to St Vincents.

Of course, you can also walk from Kings Cross station, which may provide another interesting experience.
